Dean's Welcome
At the School of Arts and Humanities, our faculty and alumni include Fulbright scholars, artists, theatre directors, poets, musicians, dancers, writers, storytellers, historians, photographers, and public intellectuals. We have professors with expertise in women’s history and gender studies, indigenous knowledge and cultures, and intercultural competencies. We share a deep appreciation for culture, diversity, and the unique contributions each individual makes to society.
We especially enjoy sharing our knowledge and skills with our students, and are committed to helping you succeed in your studies.
In additional to traditional subjects in art and humanities, our cutting-edge digital arts, digital storytelling and communication courses prepare you for 21st Century careers. I invite you to explore our catalog offerings to see the wide range of choices we offer and consult with your mentor to find the right fit for you.
Let me extend a warm welcome and my best wishes for your success. I was a non-traditional student myself, and personally experienced the challenges you face juggling life, work, family responsibilities, and college studies.
I look forward to working with you.
Kind Regards,
Nicola Marae Allain, Ph.D.
Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities
